These Terms & Conditions are in two parts, because “Laki Kane” today means two different things depending on what you’re doing:

• Part A — Website Terms of Use covers your use of the lakikane.com website itself, our brand and trademarks, and franchise/licensing enquiries. This part is between you and Brand Assets Ltd, the company that owns the Laki Kane brand and operates this website.
• Part B — Venue Terms & Conditions covers bookings, reservations, experiences, and your visit to a physical Laki Kane venue. This part is between you and whichever company actually operates that venue under licence from Brand Assets Ltd  currently The Breakfast Group Limited, which operates Laki Kane Oxford Street.

As Laki Kane is licensed to more locations, each venue will have its own version of Part B reflecting its own operator and house rules, check the relevant venue’s page, or ask in person, if you’re unsure which terms apply.

Part A — Website Terms of Use

A1. Acceptance of these terms

By using lakikane.com (the “Site”), you agree to this Part A. If you go on to make a booking, buy a gift card, or visit a Laki Kane venue, Part B will also apply to that activity.

A2. Using this website

You may use the Site to find out about Laki Kane, browse our menus and experiences, sign up to our newsletter, make enquiries, and link through to our booking partner. You agree not to misuse the Site — for example, by attempting to gain unauthorised access to it, introducing malware, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

We try to keep the Site accurate and available, but we don’t guarantee it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or available, and content (menus, prices, opening hours, experiences, locations) may change without notice. Always check directly with the relevant venue before travelling for anything time-sensitive.

A3. Our brand and trademarks

Laki Kane, the Laki Kane logo, and related names and marks are trademarks of Brand Assets Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Turkey (and which may be registered or pending registration in other territories). The Site’s design, text, graphics, menus, and other content are owned by or licensed to Brand Assets Ltd and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these terms or on the Site gives you any licence or right to use the Laki Kane name, branding, or other intellectual property, except as expressly permitted under a signed franchise or licence agreement with us.

A4. Franchise, licensing & partnership enquiries

If you submit an enquiry through our franchise, pop-up, festival, or licensed-event enquiry form (lakikane.com/franchise/), we’ll use your details to get in touch about your enquiry — see our Privacy Policy for how we handle that data.

Submitting an enquiry does not, by itself, create any franchise, licence, partnership, or other business relationship between you and Brand Assets Ltd. Any such relationship only comes into existence once a separate written franchise or licence agreement has been negotiated and signed by both parties, and that agreement — not this Site or these Website Terms of Use — will govern it.

A5. Gift Cards and Vouchers

“Gift Card” or “Voucher” means a prepaid stored-value card, promotional flyer, leaflet, card, or electronic/digital voucher issued by Brand Assets Ltd, which can be used as a substitute for cash to purchase food, drink, or experiences up to the value loaded onto it. The terms are used interchangeably below.

1. Each Gift Card/Voucher can only be redeemed once, and only one can be redeemed per booking.
2. It holds no cash value and cannot be exchanged or refunded.
3. It can only be used in exchange for goods or services of equivalent value.
4. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, discount, or special offer.
5. It can be redeemed on experiences, food, and drinks at any venue currently trading under the Laki Kane brand (currently Laki Kane Oxford Street).
6. You can only redeem a Gift Card/Voucher by making a reservation in advance — the venue will not redeem one presented without a prior booking.
7. Lost or stolen Gift Cards/Vouchers cannot be replaced or refunded.
8. All redemptions are subject to availability at the relevant venue, and to that venue’s own Venue Terms & Conditions (Part B).
9. A Gift Card/Voucher cannot be redeemed after its expiry date.

Miss Jones Exclusive gift cards, in addition to the above:

1. are exclusively valid for use Monday to Thursday;
2. may be amended or withdrawn by Brand Assets Ltd at any time without prior notice.

The venue honouring a Gift Card/Voucher (currently The Breakfast Group Limited, for Laki Kane Oxford Street) does so under its licence from Brand Assets Ltd, in accordance with both these terms and its own Venue Terms & Conditions in Part B.

A6. Links to other sites and services

The Site links to third-party services we don’t control, including our reservations partner SevenRooms, our email platform Brevo, and third-party listings (for example, venue-finding services such as Miss Jones Group). Those third parties’ own terms and privacy notices apply when you use their services, and we’re not responsible for their content or practices.

A7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t legally be limited or excluded. Subject to that, the Site and its content are provided “as is” and we don’t accept liability for losses arising from your use of the Site, except where those losses are caused by our breach of these terms or negligence.

This Part A doesn’t cover anything that happens at a physical venue (your booking, your visit, food and drink served to you, deposits, refunds, or experiences) — that’s covered by Part B and is the responsibility of the venue operator named there.

A9. Changes to these terms

We may update this Part A from time to time, for example if our website, brand structure, or licensing programme changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.

A10. Governing law

This Part A is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
