Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 June 2026

1. Who we are

This website, lakikane.com (the “Site”), is operated by Brand Assets Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17025796, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX (“Laki Kane”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Brand Assets Ltd owns the Laki Kane brand and intellectual property and is the data controller for personal data collected through this Site.

This policy covers lakikane.com only. Individual Laki Kane venues may be run by separate licensee or franchise businesses — for example, our Oxford Street venue, operated under licence in partnership with The Breakfast Group — and may have their own privacy notice covering in-venue activity such as CCTV, in-person payments, Wi-Fi sign-ups, and bookings/reservations. Please check with the relevant venue for details of how it handles your data on-site.

Questions about this policy or how we handle your personal data can be sent to headoffice@lakikane.com or to the address above.

2. The personal data we collect

a) Enquiries you send us

  • Contact form (lakikane.com/contact/): name, email address, type of enquiry, location, and your message.
  • Franchise & licensing enquiry form (lakikane.com/franchise/): name, business name, email address, business website, type of enquiry, business location, and your message.
  • Merchandise enquiry form (lakikane.com/mug-enquiry/): name, email address, and the product(s) you’re asking about.
  • Voucher redemption requests sent to us by email.

b) Newsletter sign-ups

If you sign up to our general newsletter or our franchise newsletter, we collect your name and email address. We use Brevo (Sendinblue) to send these emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

c) Wi-Fi sign-ups

Guest Wi-Fi at Laki Kane venues is provided and managed solely by the venue operator, not by Brand Assets Ltd. If you connect to guest Wi-Fi, any name, email address, or other details you provide as part of the sign-up process are collected and controlled directly by the venue. This Privacy Policy does not cover that processing, please check with the venue for details of how it handles Wi-Fi sign-up data.

d) Bookings and reservations

Bookings and reservations made through our reservations partner, SevenRooms, are managed solely by the venue operator, not by Brand Assets Ltd. The venue (using SevenRooms to collect name, email address, phone number, and payment details) is the data controller for this processing. This Privacy Policy does not cover that processing SevenRooms’ own privacy notice, and/or the venue’s own privacy notice, applies to the booking process instead.

e) Comments

If you leave a comment on a blog or news post, we collect your name, email address, and, optionally, your website.

f) Automatically collected data

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referral source, using cookies and similar technologies.
